Hi it’s me Bailey,
Welcome to my blog!
I wanted to tell you all about my latest adventure. I am one lucky puppy I am.
OK, here we go. This is my favorite place to take things that I’m not supposed to have...under the bed.
On Tuesday morning mommy was getting ready for work and she left some fun toys out within my reach so I snuck one when she wasn’t looking. Oh my it tasted so yummy and by the time she discovered what I was doing this is what was leftover:
I was so disappointed she'd found that I’d taken her pin cushion. I heard her say some words I don’t think I’ve ever heard before. Next thing I knew she was rushing me out to that darn car kennel and off we went. I was hoping that we were going to doggy daycare but no we ended up at Eastgate vet where she abandoned me to the very nice vet techs. They gave me some stuff that made me really sleepy and then put me under this big machine that took pictures of my insides.
Then I heard them calling my mommy to let her know that I had 4 pins in my tummy. I think I heard her mutter more words I hadn’t heard and then she came back to get me. I thought we were going home so I could finish what I started but then we went to this big place called the OSU Veterinary Hospital where they took more pictures of my tummy. I heard them use this word called endoscopy but after they had taken more pictures they found that the yummy pins had started working their way into my lower stomach and intestines so I didn’t have to have that tube stuck down into my gut. I heard the “surgery” word next but then I found out that instead we were going to see if those pins would come out my other end.
So I got to go home and eat slice after slice of white bread and big luscious marshmellows and even this orange stuff called pumpkin that was really tasty. I couldn’t figure out why my diet was so much improved but I didn’t argue. Later I found out that they were hoping that the pins would bind to this new food I was getting.
The next morning my mommy followed me out into the yard and was trying to catch my poo in a strainer but I wouldn’t let her near my butt. So once I did my business she came over with gloves on her hands and I'll let you use your imagination from there. Soon after I heard her exclaim that she’d found 2 of the 4 pins!
The next day I continued my new diet while mommy worked at home and kept a close eye on me. I decided that I didn’t want her following me around the yard so I only pooed a little bit that night. Ha ha I thought. That will teach her. But then the next morning here she came again. As you might imagine I REALLY had to go this time and she came out with those gloves again. She soon started jumping up and down! Apparently the last 2 pins had come through and she was a very happy mommy. She told me I should be a very happy doggy since I didn’t have to be cut open so I ran around the perimeter of the yard as fast as I could a few times to show her that I was indeed thrilled too.
I did ingest a variety of pins as you can see from this picture. Mommy took them for show and tell at work.
Now I am disappointed though because she took all my fun away. I no longer have any place to hide when I am feeling sneaky.
Poor Bailey. Poor Mommy.
ReplyDeleteOh Bailey, you are a handful. No more vet visits for awhile, okay? Hope you and Simone can get together and play soon!
