Last weekend we went down to the Smith River in the beautiful California redwoods. I got to swim in the river but momma kept me on a leash since the current was so strong and she didn't want me ending up downstream! I have to admit I was kind of a wuss....boy that water was cold. I much preferred the balmy water at the Corvallis Aquatic Center dog day last October, but she said I need to toughen up.

After I wimpered and whined she finally took pity on me and took me back to our very comfortable cabin for some warming up and cuddling on the couch.

But she did accomplish her goal with me...I was a tuckered out pup that night and she got to relax with her friends while I snoozed.
